Let's start at the very Beginning....A very good place to start.

Some of you asked so I delivered.  Some asked if I would share video or pictures of me dancing.  I've been dancing a loooong time dudes.

So let's start near the beginning.

By the time this photo was taken, I think I had already been dancing for 5 years.

So can you spot the creeper in the back that kinda looks like she had too much cotton candy at the balloon fair, and recently had a stick shoved up her behind?

That's me.  I was a special child growing up.  Wait....I'm still special.

My heart melted

I'm gonna be a cheezer for a second as I talk about dance.

I love dance like a Wall Street tycoon loves money, like Joan Rivers loves plastic surgery, or like a flower loves to pollinate.....and those flowers love to pollinate akay?

Dance is so incredibly healing for me on so many levels that nothing else can heal....besides that one thing.

Seriously though.  When I have a cruddy muddy day, I dance it off and I feel so much better....kinda like how Joan rivers feels afters a face lift.  Joan and I--we tight.

So when I saw this picture on pinterest, I melted inside.  She looks beautiful and it made me feel beautiful just staring at it.  So what did I do?

I decided to put it in my senior dance project.  Ohhhhhh yeeeeeeeah.  It's gonna be good.

What heals your heart?

Campus Stylized -- Ashley Haycock

Meet Ashley and her pretty dress.  I fell in heart with it when I saw it.

I've known Ashley for a while.  She is a beautiful singer and dancer aaaaaaand apparently we both struggled our tushy's through Physical Science last semester.

Worst. Class. Ever.
No I don't want to know why gravitational potential energy turns into kinetic.  But I learned anyway.

So this dress.  I don't where she got it, but I consider it to be a delightful dress that looks equally as delightful on her petite frame.

Sad News, though.

Campus Stylized might be dwindling.  This semester, I'm spending most of my time teaching at a high school.

I feel like it would be ever so kinky to take pictures of young teens in their clothes....and I mean kinky in like twisted weird way.  NO- not that you way you weirdy.

Growing Up is WEEEEEIRD.

Photos courtesy of Chip and Ale

Blouses, Blazer, Pants, Belt: J.Crew (I work there can you blame me?), Shoes: Nine West C/O Pamela Metcalf, Necklace: Anthropologie, Watch: Gift

What everyone else is wearing: Ya right....like I wrote all that down in the freezing cold outside.

I shouldn't be growing up right now.  Judging by all the pictures, I'm clearly still a child at heart.

I mean really.  I messed up every single group picture because I'm so bloody awk and outrageously bright.

These dear ladies in the pictures with me, are all the girls I am student teaching with this semester.  We are all Dance Education majors, and each of us is at a public school this semester completing our final semester of COLLEGE as a student teacher.

Woot Woot and raise the roof.

Do we all look like were ready to brave the world of promoting abstinence of young teens through the soul wrenching movement of dance?  uh....what?

We do other stuff besides that.

Best Movie Kisses EVER....according to Pinker.

I remember when I was in 5th grade like it was yesterday.  Wow, what a cheesy thing to say.  But I do.

I was hiding behind my family room couch while my older sister was having a party.  She had BOYS over.

I didn't even know what those things were until AFTER I went through puberty AKA curves, no braces, longer neck, rounder booty, and a tid bit more confidence.

Hence, I was hiding behind the couch.

I watched this scene from behind that 1980's plaid, overstuffed sectional, and my heart melted as a wee 10 year old.

They proceeded to watch the scene 14 more times while the guys silently gagged, and the girls publicly SWOONED over this effortless makeout sesh.

I agreed with the girls.  I swore to myself that I would one day have a kiss like that.  (I haven't yet), but it is still one of my faves today.  Not to mention, I heart Drew Barrymore in this movie.

Photo shoot with Landon Drean Photography!

Turtleneck: LOFT, Jacket: Gift from Momma, Skirt: Four and Twenty Sailors Boutique, Tights: Gap, Shoes: F21, Purse: Chinese Flea Market, Jewelry: LOFT, Chicos, Target, J.Crew

I'm so excited to share with you today a dear friend of mine.

Landon Drean is an amazingly talented photographer who asked me to do a little photo shoot for his editorial class.

The project was all about the juxtaposition of shazam glam fashion and school life.

I don't know if I achieved that myself, but I think he made the pictures look FABULOUS!!!

Seriously though, it was such a pleasure to work with him.  He has lots of experience and definitely knows what he's doing with that lens of his.  WINK.

Go visit Landon's blog HERE to see all of his beautiful pho-tos.

Toolshed Tuesday...Dessert parties

Blouse: Banana Republic, Skirt: Thrifted, Belt: J.Crew, Shoes: Dillards, Necklaces: The Loft, Target, Chicos

I will gripe forever about dessert parties in Provo.  I just attended a birthday party accompanied with desserts,  with a good friend of mine--I brought my pink ukulele with me as a safety blanket.

The girls at these parties scare me.  They're bean poles, tan, blonde, and have spider eyes. (That tends to mean that they have loads of makeup on.)

The boys scare me even more.  They have spiky hair and touch EVERY single girl there.  Some even just lean up against the wall waiting for their next touching victim.  That was not meant to sound creepy but rather, accurate.

As I walked, in I started laughing and turned to my friend and said, "I come to these events for the food."

It's true though, I was literally the only girl at the dessert table, and I ate like four cookies.  I'm working on my social skills whilst I lick frosting off delectable sugar cookies, okay?   aaaand I don't feel like making cookies at my own gosh dang apartment, so I'm just gonna go get some that are free.

Once I was bored of stuffing my face, I went over to a corner and started playing my ukulele.

This guy comes over and says to me, "Hey."

I didn't look up from my ukulele.  I wasn't trying to be rude, I really am just obsessed with my uke.

Guy, "So is that supposed to be like, some toy that reels guys in?  Like a guy magnet?  Like, do you get guys with that thing?  Like, does that actually work?  Like.........

Ya I just play chords in an accurate way that make a perfectly sounding melody that then, translates into a song ...IN A CORNER.....to get guys.

Have you gone daft?  People go to the library for that!  BA HA HA.

Should I stop going to dessert parties?  Probably.  But I just can't resist the treats.  Truly.

Sorry.  I'll stop posting about dessert parties.  I think this is my third time.

Tomorrow I'll post about Best MOVIE kisses of all time.  Much better topic, I think.

Oh my Crud that was Rad day

Poncho: Chicos, Blouse: J.Crew, Riding pants: J.Crew, Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs c/o Pamela Metcalf, Necklace: Tjmaxx

About two years ago, I went on a cruise to Mexico with 80 BYU students.  It was a freaking riot.  Everyone thought we were crazy drunk all the time, but really we were just high on life.

My first night on the ship, I was in the hot tub with two of my friends. A boy got in who had particularly high swim trunks.  Yikes-a-bee sir.

He looked at me, I looked at him.  I turned away awkwardly and continued to laugh with my friends at how my swim skirt was making an awkward shape around me in the hot tub.

The boy spoke up and said,  "You wanna make out on this cruise?"

uh what?  uh.... me?

I said no.  I didn't even know the dude.

He persisted and said to me that it was a cruise for crying out loud and that we should at some point during our four days together find some time out in the open, or in some tiny cruise cabin bathroom to make out.....and that was a run on sentence.  Oh well.

I continued to say no.  His shifty eyes and persistent ways were making me uncomfortable.  However, I did think he KIND OF funny.

I allowed him to walk me to my room after hot tubby time.  As we got to my room, he leaned against my door and said these words in my ear that I'll never forget, "You're my cruise crush...there's no reason we shouldn't."

Ha.  What a great time.  Good news is that I'm still friends with the bloke and just happened to featured on HIS dating blog a couple days ago about CROCS.  Check it out at:

My Secret Fantasy

Be still my beating heart....

Would you ever think to put flannel with a wedding dress.  Me likey.

For about five years now, I have had this dream slash fantasy of becoming a wedding planner and owning my own bridal salon.  BUT EVEN WORKING AT KLEINFELDS WOULD SUFFICE!!!!

No campus stylized today, but I've decided to add a little bridal tab of all the things I love bridal.  I don't care what you say....you've been dreaming of how that day would be since you were in the womb.  Just like me.

I ADORE that huge bow on that dress.  I'm not staring at her rear.  I'm staring at the bow.

Orange is the new Pink

orange craze

I've never been much of a fan of orange until I came into work one morning and saw that we had a new shipment of BRIGHT ORANGE pixie pants on a rack.

I fell in love with them immediately.  Within my shift, I had several creepy, intimate moments with me caressing the orange friends.  The things I admit on the blog....
I didn't get them for a while, because I would ask people if they liked them, and they would say, "Um...they are really loud--but you could rock them!"
It took some time for me to realize that even though my friends didn't like them, the fashion world did.  Didn't you know that "Tangerine Tango" is the official color of 2012 as stated by Pantone?  So once again, I was diligent serving as the humble pawn on the fashion chess board--and I bought them.
I love them--and you'll see them soon enough on this here blog.  Can I get a hoo-ah?

Toolshed Tuesday--Water Parks

Jeans: J Brand Anthropologie, Shirt: J.Crew, Scarf: Vintage bought at flea market in D.C., Vest: Anthropologie, Purse: F21

One time, I was sitting in the student center at a table eating myself a subway sandwich--which by the way is the ONLY thing I eat at the CougarEat (student food court) because everything else tastes like TURD.

I'm so sick of Subway.  When I get out of here, I shall indulge in, and upgrade to Jimmy Johns.

Ha...Anyway--Subway.  Two boys were sitting next to me.  (Why is that I always am eavesdropping on secret girl talk between two boys?)  One had glasses, the other's pants were tighter than mine.  Good for him?

Skinny jeans tight pants boy:  Tiffany and I went to Seven Peaks last Saturday.

Glasses:  Oh ya.  Did you guys have fun?

Skinny Jeans: Ya, but as soon as I saw her in a swim suit, I wasn't as into it.

Glasses: Oh dude, that blows.

Perhaps this is the reason I don't go swimming too often.  Besides the fact that my skin color is like unto  Edward Cullen's on a "sparkly" summer day, I don't think I would appreciate a boy with tighter jeans than I judging my appearance in a "costume."

I'm just sayin'

Wearing boy clothes is my favorite thing EVER!

Me- Hat: H&M, Shirt: J.Crew, Jeans: Tjmaxx, Shoes: F21
Tyson: Coat: J.Crew, Shirt: J.Crew, Jeans: J.Crew (a little obsessed--are we not?), Shoes: Sperry

Geez Louise.  Isn't it about time that Laura was back with her lens of genius?

Good to have you back Laur.

Friends, meet Tyson.  Tyson is a proficient in Style.  So much so, that I decided to steal his shirt for myself in this photo shoot, and then brought the lad into the photo shoot with me for some supa sass pictures.

Seriously though, puh-lease go through your brother, guy friend, Dad, boyfriends closet and steal their stuff.  It's comfy, androgynous (which could be fun in this case but not in others obvi), and smells like hot boy cologne.

Not a better combo than that peeps.

High School Students make you feel GREAT.

Today was my first day at the school where I'm student teaching.

Those kids made me feel like a cooler Selena Gomez-- but less tan.

I swear, every period at least 3 girl would come up to me in such a high school girl way and say, "Oh my gosh, you are so pretty." ORRRR "Oh my gosh, you have the cutest style and clothes."

These kids are getting A's.

Good News:  Pictures from the beautiful Laura Barfuss on Monday!!!!

Campus Stylized!!! It's baaaack!

It seem as though this young man has done this before...

I am really diggin this D.I. bag

I seem to take a lot of pictures of men.  Girl intimidate me some.  It's just like, weird to go up to a girl and be like, "haha (cuz I laugh awkwardly before I talk to them) hi.  You're cute can I take your picture?"

It seems a bit easier with the men folk.  Saying that makes me feel like such a hussy for some reason.

At any rate, BYU is pumping out the Utah STYLE.  Ha
