When I was a freshman, a boy in my ward asked my roommate Danielle on a date for a Friday night. Consequently, she couldn't go for one reason or another.
FIVE MINUTES LATER.....he calls me. Her roommate. For a date Friday night.
I said, "umm...didn't you just ask Danielle out for this Friday like a second ago?"
"ya...but she couldn't go."
"right....so the natural thing to do next was to call her roommate...who lives with her....and heard your conversation."
I felt bad...I think I made him feel stupid.
But still!
Don't ask a girl out, and then minutes later, ask her roommate AND BEST FRIEND out for the same night.
Bad dating tactics.
Perhaps if he called me the next day....but I think the point of this story is that it was minutes later....
hahaha--I can't remember if I went out with him or not, though.

ReplyDeleteYour last photo in this set, my fave! Thought I would let you know!
ReplyDeleteI love that experience you had freshman year. I had a similar one once...but actually a little worse. I was living in a house with 7 other girls-it was AWESOME! A guy in the ward knocked on the door-I answered and he asked me out for that weekend. THANKFULLY, I already had a date. so he turns, sees another one of my roommates in the living room and asks "Hey, what about you?" The gall of some guys. We had a great laugh over it though. I'm pretty sure he found a date; perseverance!
