Campus Stylized- Courtney, Zac, and James Bobby.

I have found that nothing is more awkward than me going around campus asking if I can take pictures of strangers. 'ahem...ahem....uh...so I have a fashion blog, and um, you look great.  Can I take your picture for my campus stylized day?...oh and while you're at it, will you do the macarena too?'

Awk. Awk. Awk.

Sometimes people say no, and then I walk away like a shamed puppy with their tail under their bum.

Sometimes people say yes, and then I chase my tail.....uh what?

Fortunately, I had enough people say yes to post some pics today.

First is Courtney.  I love her spicy orange skirt (see this post), mixed with her fun patterned tights.  Perfect for fall.  Seriously.

Second is Zac, who I mainly took a picture of because he's Hil-ar-ious.....and I really liked his sweater. I wish boys appreciated this cut of sweater more.  I think its HAWT.

Third is James Bobby.  I like his ease of style, but it still looks very classic.  I feel like he could be a J.Crew model or something.....and his black school bag really completes me...I mean his outfit. ;)

Preventing Snot Nose Icicles...gross

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

It's like, really cold outside.  I'm a Utahn, but for some reason I have been DA-READ-ING winter.

How could I have tolerated the madness of tightening all my muscles, pulling my hood over my face, and walking out the door to face freezing mother nature for the past 22 years?
Insanity.

I wouldn't survive a day in Siberia....do people still live there?  JK. JK. JK.

At least fashion figured out ways to look cute slash kinda warm as your nose snot drips into little snot icicles.
What!  It's not like it never happens!

Spending Fast still happening, but how bout' all these cute little thangs?

I feel like I'm in dire need of that EWOK looking hat (AKA #5)

But then I was like, Oh my crud why aren't we wearing these adorable growth type cone bow hats anymore?
Audrey....you wiener.  You made everything look delightful.

Click on any one of the pictures and it will take you straight to the link.

GO and BUY a hat for ME.

Toolshed Tuesday AND Giveaway WINNER!!!

Turtleneck: Banana Republic, Sweater: J.Crew, Scarf and Earrings: Egypt, Jeans: Target, Boots: BCBG via Nordstroms (old)

When I was a freshman, a boy in my ward asked my roommate Danielle on a date for a Friday night.  Consequently, she couldn't go for one reason or another.

FIVE MINUTES LATER.....he calls me.  Her roommate.  For a date Friday night.

I said, "umm...didn't you just ask Danielle out for this Friday like a second ago?"

"ya...but she couldn't go."

"right....so the natural thing to do next was to call her roommate...who lives with her....and heard your conversation."

I felt bad...I think I made him feel stupid.

But still!

Don't ask a girl out, and then minutes later, ask her roommate AND BEST FRIEND out for the same night.

Bad dating tactics.

Perhaps if he called me the next day....but I think the point of this story is that it was minutes later....

hahaha--I can't remember if I went out with him or not, though.

Oh Hey Niko friend.  Please disregard the heinous garbage can in the back that actually adds to the artistry to the photo?

Dress turned Skirt (ummm....I hate that its wrinkled) : Diesel, Sweater: J.Crew, Jacket: Wight House, Belt: J.Crew, Tights: Target, Socks: Kohls, Shoes: COACH

So sorry for the late post, I guess Laura ran into some probs sending me the pictures....

Yesterday I ate Sunday Dinner at my Sister Amy's house and when my mom came, I saw her shoes.

Oh her shoes.....

I exclaimed pure joy for her shoes.

She replied by saying, "You should take these for a day and feature them on your blog.  I saw them at TJMAXX, but didn't get enough guts to buy them.  I called your Aunt Rose and told her about the shoes and that I couldn't stop thinking about them.  She said she knew exactly what shoes I was talking about, and she got them--and then said I owed her the money for them.  (insert Mom's laugh here)  The best part of the story is this:  Your two cousins, your aunt, and I all bought these same shoes without even knowing that we all bought this shoe.....you've gotta put that on your blog."

Gladly Momma, gladly.

Don't you love that families love the same stuff, and then we proceed to rampage stores with our presence by buying them out of Coach shoes?

It's what we do best apparently.  Not really, but I must say, I have a fairly stylish family.

Why not I say?  That's why EVERY woman loves shoes....because they look good on EVERY body type.

So even when my behind feels larger than an extra large Marie Callendar Banana Cream Pie,  the shoes will not betray me.

They make us feel pretty, because they are just....so pretty.

ALSO....

It's Meg Monday (wow that sounds kinda conceited?)  Geez Louise....its more just for fun akay?

Food:  Seriously, some of my favorite things to eat right now are sauteed mushrooms and onions, frozen yogurt, and edamame.  Not together though...that would be interesting.  Edamame fro-yo?

Anthropologie giveaway winner announced tomorrow....last day to enter!

Oh my Crud...That was Rad day--Plus my beautiful Photo-taking friend.

laurabphoto.blogspot.com

The last one is of yours truly....This was from a photo shoot about a month ago and I didn't even know about this pic.  I kinda like the whole "hey my hair is...sexy?, but I'll give you a smile anyways" look.

Have you ever seen so many pictures in your life?

Oh the exaggeration...

Before I talk about my crud slash rad experience, I wanted to first, showcase my beautiful friend Laura who takes all my beautiful pictures.....and she makes them beautiful because she is so bloody talented.

Today she is shooting a wedding of the couple in the top two pictures in Salt Lake so we couldn't take pics, but what better time to show her off eh?

She is a multi-talented woman and can shoot so many different kinds of people--familes, engagements, weddings, senior pics, kids, lifestyle, etc

So, if you ever are looking for a spare photographer one day to shoot.....whatever, contact Laura.  Her prices are very reasonable, and she is great to work with.

Thanks for taking all my pictures, lady friend!
She might kill me for putting this pic up of her.

Now for the Crud slash Rad story (oh my gosh.  I just tried to type the word story 5 times, and each time it came out wrong....it's Friday.)

If he reads this blog...I will laugh then die.

One time a boy took me on a date for a Friday night (it does happen sometimes)

I sat around waiting for his call, decided to go out to eat with my best friend at CPK, and finally at 8:30 he calls whilst I'm stuffing my face with caramelized onion pizza.

He says, "Hey I'm taking you to dinner."

The food half masticated in my mouth I say, "Great.  Sounds great.  I'm starving."

He says, "Great. I'll pick you up in 15 minutes."

uhhhhhhh.  Why do boys do that?

He picks me up.  I am, in actuality, stuffed as we drive up to Sundance Ski Resort.

He takes me this nice restaurant where apparently Lindsay Lohan and Wayne Brady had been just a few nights previous.  I was "bummed" to find out that my bum was not touching the same seat that Lindsay Lohan's bum sat in.  Haha

Next Thing I know, everything on the menu is like 30 dollars a plate.

Um...I'm in college and so are you mister buddy friend.

I say, "wow.  This is just a really nice place then.  I'll probably just get a salad." (remember how I'm already stuffed on cheese and bread?)

he says, "NO WAY.  This is my favorite place to eat.  You HAVE to get one of the entrees."

OY.

I felt so uncomfortable by the situation.  Everything in my date going head was saying, Meg are you crazy?  Don't let this guy spend 30+ dollars on you, its inhumane and plain rude.

"No, this salad looks real good."
"No, you're getting the entree."
"Alex (named changed), I can't."
"You can."
"I can?"
"You can."
"If Lindsay Lohan did it, then I guess I can do it too."

He got the steak.  I got the salmon.  He insisted on getting dessert?  My thighs and stomach were screaming, and I went into a freaking food coma."

Why I didn't tell him I had already eaten I have no idea.  Maybe its because he was so excited to eat at his favorite restaurant.  In fact, I know he was.  He must have said it was his favorite like 8 times.

Bless his heart.....Bless mine!  I just about went into cardiac arrest that night.

Sorry for the long post...but not really.

Don't forget about my anthropologie gift card giveaway.  It ends next Tuesday.

Pee-ess:  How are you responding to the new font?  I have had complaints that the old one is hard to read.
