I love myself a hipster concert...

Coat: J.Crew, Blouse: J.Crew, Cardi: J.Crew, Dress: Bought out of a van, Tights: Gap, Boots: Antique Cowboy store in Jackson Hole

This dress has the raddest history.

I'm grateful for hipster friends that take me down to South Provo for intimate little house concerts.

Because that's how me and this dress met.

I went to a concert and parked outside the house was this way way retro 70's van painted rust orange and yellow.  Inside the van, a guy was selling some merchandise.

Naturally, I cared more for the musty smelled goods than the better than mediocre music. You've heard one Regina Spector sound alike, you've heard them all.

I saw this dress and (in the most dramatic way ever) it spoke to me.  You ladies understand right?
Men you don't get it.  Clothes speak to us girls.

It was practically begging me to take it off the mothy green velvet hanger.

So I did.  And I paid a whopping 2 dollars for it.

Thank you hipster concerts.

  1. Hahaha, I love the Regina Spector comment. And I totally know the feeling. Actually, my post I wrote for tomorrow is actually me having a relationship with a vintage dress I just bought. Looks like our minds are on the same track! Lol.

  2. That outfit is amazing! Especially the glasses and coat. I am hosting a fashion link party, called Watch What I'm Wearing, and I would love it if would add a link at www.watchoutforthewoestmans.blogspot.com. Maybe you will get some new visitors from it as well.
