Oh my Crud...That was Rad day!

ummm.  I tend to how you say....groove during our photoshoots sometimes.

Skirt:  THA-rifted!!! (D.I.- seriously I remember when I found this I whispered to myself in the store, "Jackpot." Cardigan: Anthropologie, Scarf: Unknown, Shirt: H&M, Hat: Cherry Lane Boutique (Provo), Shoes: Vintage (purchased in Jackson Hole)

I hope my friend won't kill me for telling this story, but it is LITERALLY one of the best dating stories I have ever heard.  It holds a special place in our hearts because it happened in our first semester of college.

If you have ever seen the movie Ghost with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, you'll get this story.  If you haven't....GO BUY IT.
I got my copy for 5 dollars at Wal-mart.  Cha-ching.
and needless to say...I think we watched the movie after her date with good laughs.

A boy took her on a date that she had met in one of her classes.  His name was Mia.  Interesting name.

The date was going well...she thought.  Then he took her home and into his basement where he had set up a POTTERY MAKING STATION.  Is the Ghost thing clicking yet?

Cue in the song "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers.  He had a stereo set up in the corner.

She is feeling pretty uncomfortable at this point and can only laugh at the awkwardness of the sitch.
He tells her to sit down.  She obeys, heaven forbid.
He sits behind her and puts his hands over hers as they begin to mold the clay together -- he's whispering sweet nothings in her ear????  Was she chucking like a small child on ipecac at this point?  I really don't know actually--I might have
(sidenote):  But unless he can move his hips like Pat Swayze in his tight dirty dancing pants...don't become a hot mess with another girl and the pottery wheel poser man.

I wasn't at the date....so I always hear it second hand. (Ya...this is our go-to hilarious date story.)

But I recall saying to her,  Ahh Danielle!  Give him a chance! (I was 18...so young. hahaha)

She was like, "um Meg...he tried to re-enact ghost and get up in my grill. No FREAKING WAY."

The best part of the story is that he came a couple days later he came by our apartment to drop off their bowl they made...which may or may not have looked like a blind demi moore with no fingers (sorry demi...you'll find another guy!)  had made it.  She looked through the peep hole and freaked out.  She asked me to do the dirty work as she pretended to be asleep in her bed.

I answered the door and the first thing I thought was, "What's D's problem?  He's kinda cute."

OH.....SHE NEVER LETS ME LIVE THAT DOWN TO THIS DAY.

  7. Hi there readers- THIS HAPPENED TO ME. Yes, I am the "friend" that went on the ghost date. There are a few details that Meg got wrong- but I don't blame her, it happened six years ago...

SO....if you want the FULL and noncut story let me know. I wrote an essay on this date for a Memoirs class and would happy to post some details if wanted.

Disclaimer: I was young and naive and well...stupid that I somehow got in this situation.
